Steven “Steve”  L. Winterhalter, 55 of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, after his battle with brain cancer.  Born, April 26, 1958 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Francis and Donna (Frankforther) Winterhalter.  Steve was successfully self-employed for the past 25 years as owner of Road Warrior Ltd., Steering Column Repair. Many just referred to him as the “Steering Column Guy”. Many would describe him as unique, however, smart, honest and direct. “What you see is what you get”. He enjoyed playing his guitars and occasionally pulling out the accordion. However, his true passion was his creativity and always working on a project; whether it be a classic car from the ground up, race car or creating a rat rod, many of which can be seen on his Youtube channel, echoalleyrestorations. Steve’s knowledge helped many people along the way.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen.  Parents, daughter; Suzanne, Sons, Steven, Nicholas and Dylan. Grandchildren; Asher and Grayson and special mother-in-law, Sue.

Visitation will be from 1-6 pm Sunday, February 23, 2014,  at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm.  Special thanks to Promedica Hospice, especially to Brittany and Lynn. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
