Ruth K. Satkowski, 85 of Temperance, MI, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 after a brief illness.  Born, Aug, 5, 1928 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of John and Sadie (Kisilewski) Withrow. A 1946 graduate of the former Temperance High School, she married Stephen J. Satkowski on July 9, 1949.  He preceded her in death on March 14, 1992.  Ruth was employed in food service at Bedford High School for several years.  She was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance and  the Bedford Senior Citizens Center, where she delivered meals on wheels. Ruth was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Post 192, Temperance, and the Bedford Band Boosters.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, knitting, cooking and baking. Ruth was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her loving children; John (Roxann) Satkowski of Temperance, MI, Stephen (Susan) Satkowski of Monroe, MI, Monica (Tom) Dull of Temperance, MI and Timothy (Tamra) Satkowski of Gahanna, OH.  Grandchildren; John, Stephanie (Ray), Kenny (Amanda), Kathryn, Alex, Kimberly and Annah.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the rosary will be prayed Sunday at 6:30 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 14, 2014, at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Bedford Senior Center.  www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
