Robin L. Smith, 58 of Lambertville, MI, died Monday, July 25, 2016. Born March 21, 1958, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Thomas V. and Laurel A. (Bechtel) Smith. A 1976 graduate of the former Macomber Vocational High School, he served his country in the US Air Force for 20 years at the 180th Fighter Wing in Swanton, OH. He then was employed by the Chrysler Corporation (Jeep Corporation) for 30 years, retiring in 2008. He most recently worked in security for the Toledo Art Museum. Robin married Theresa K. Konoff on January 9, 2003. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church and U.A.W., Local 12. Robin enjoyed music, riding his Harley, watching movies and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa; children, ReAnnen (Christopher) Roth, Risa Smith, Tricia McConnell, and Chris (Jessica) Thompson; mother, Laurel Smith; grandchildren, Derrick, Patrick, Tara, Tyler, Emma, and Carson; brother, Ronald (Lisa) Smith; sisters, Rebecca Allen and Renee Smith. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Raymond Smith.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Crossroads Community Church, 6960 Sylvania-Petersburg Rd. Ottawa Lake, MI 49267, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am.
