Phyllis J. Pilbeam, 88, a resident of Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville, Michigan, died Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Born, April 1, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Herbert and Clara (Heins) Jaekel. She married Fred Pilbeam on October 11, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1996. Phyllis enjoyed gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her loving son, Thomas (Nancy) Pilbeam; brother, Donald Jaekel; grandchildren, Amanda (Jamie) Dobson, Lynn (Adam) Leckler, and Thomas (Brianna Lievens) Pilbeam, Jr.; 2 great grandchildren, Abby and Katie.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm, Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Interment will be private at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Detroit, MI.
