Phillip “Phil” S. Boose, 85 of Lambertville, MI, died Thursday, August 4, 2016.  Born December 25, 1930, in Erie, MI, he was the son of Howard and Gladys (Johnson) Boose. A US Navy veteran of the Korean War, he married O’Deal “Dee” Fair on June 13, 1953.  Phil started out as a brick and block mason, and then became owner and operator of Phillip S. Boose Builders for over 30 years.  He was a member of the Samaria Lodge 438, F.A.&M., where he was past master and Mason of the Year. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Toledo, the Zenobia Shrine, their Mounted Patrol, Jesters and Motorcycle Escort Unit. He was a volunteer for the Monroe County, Lucas County and Sylvania Twp. Police Departments. Phil was co-owner with his daughter, Connie of Al Smith’s Place in Bucyrus, OH from 1994 – 2007, where he enjoyed mingling with customers and cooking.  Phil enjoyed raising horses, working with and training German Shepherds. He obtained his private pilot license and also loved Harley Davison Motorcycles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dee; children, Michael (Robin) Boose and Connie (Dave) Leonhardt; grandchildren, Hannah, Catherine and Rachel Boose, and Baylee Leonhardt. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Williams Gartin, brother, Richard Boose and best friend, Bud Gartin.
