Patricia Was born to Olive and Kenneth Hanifan on April 13th,1934 on what I envision to be a warm sunny early spring day on Friday the 13th. Some may say that this is an unlucky day, I think not. I envision this day needing some good karma thus Pat came into this world.

She had 2 daughters, Christine Gunther and many years later Jennifer Edgar, she also had one Step daughter Janet Koella. And one brother Ronald (Catheryn) Hanifan .Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Karl Koella (W8VSB). Mom met dad on a secret amateur radio hidden transmitter game and that is how she found him. Patricia was known as W8TIL and loved speaking to people all over the world, as did dad. This of course was the Facebook, TWITTER and Social media of the early days! Before GPS signals existed! But of course no “selfie” pictures involved!

Mom enjoyed her birds so much she had many feeders galore outside her window when she presided in Bedford. I will best recall her shooting a BB Gun at the pesky squirrels who dared to invade her bird feeders! Besides birds and HAM Radio Mom enjoyed her dogs, Siberian Huskies. She showed in many AKC Events and sled dog races. Many of her beloved dogs have passed over the years but I envision she is now in heaven getting many, many wet kisses and Husky Howls of joy upon her arrival! Friday,April 11th her signal went silent but her memory will remain in us all.
We wish to celebrate her life and not morn her passing,  She leaves behind her grandson’s Conner and Cole Edgar, her daughter’s Christine Gunther ( Rick) , Jennifer Edgar (Lee) and step daughter Janet Koella. Many caregivers at HOSPICE of NWO On Detroit Ave and the wonderful caring angels at Sunset Village in Sylvania Ohio and special helper Marcia Zeman
