Lorena E. Jones Whitcomb

Lorena E. Jones, 87 of Temperance, MI, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 in The Toledo Hospital. Born April 11, 1926 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Amy (Swart) Whitcomb. A 1940 graduate of Monroe High School, she married John T. Jones on August 18, 1945. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1981. Lorena was an avid card player and also loved to sew, make rugs and fish.
She is survived by her loving children, Charles (Lois) Jones of Lambertville, MI, John “Frank” Jones of Florida, Mary Rhoades of Illinois and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Melvin Whitcomb and sister, Mary Gautz.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 at LaSalle Township Cemetery, Swartz Road (between Telegraph and Dixie Hwy.) LaSalle, MI at 11:00 am.
