Leora M. Murbach, 78, of Erie, MI, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Born February 10, 1939, in Erie, MI, she was the daughter of Morris and Lucille (Franke) Grodi. She married Richard J. Murbach on April 20, 1955. Leora was the night manager of Rudy’s Hot Dog on Summit Street in Point Place for over 20 years. A wonderful wife and mother, she was the mom everybody wanted to have. Leora enjoyed cooking, gambling, but most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard; sons, Ronald Murbach, Rick (Darlene) Murbach and Robb (Joe Anna) Murbach; grandchildren, Joshua (Amy), Jacob, Jordan, Louden, Lauren, and Lincoln; great grandchildren, Alison and Conor; sisters, Dawn (Robert) Furr and Oma Morin; brother, Arlo (Joyce) Grodi; special niece and nephew, Michele and Michael Cornwell and great niece, Jillian Anderson. Leora was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, George and Glen Buck.
A gathering will be from 2-7 pm, Thursday, April 20, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm.
