Joyce E. Martin, 90 of Erie, MI, died Thursday, August 20, 2015, in Vibrant Life Senior Living, Temperance, MI. Born February 2, 1925, in Port Huron, MI, she was the daughter of Clifford P. and Jennie A. (Powley) Staplin. Joyce was a 1943 graduate of Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, MI and then married Herman “Tim” Martin on February 17, 1944. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1968. She was a member of Compelled Church in Temperance, MI and was an avid student of the Bible throughout her life.
Joyce is survived by her loving children, Sheryl Martin and Kenneth (Barbara) Martin; sister, Eva Roberts; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 Noon, Monday, August 24, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where service follow at 12:00 Noon. Pastor Nate Elarton, officiating. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
