John “Johnny” E. Malkuian, 70 of Toledo, OH, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 in The Toledo Hospital.  Born June 9, 1944 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Samuel and Dora M. (Cox) Malkuian.  A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he married Darlene A. Cuttaia on May 24, 1969.  Johnny was employed as a Tool and Die Repairman for 38 years for the former Doehler-Jarvis Corporation in Toledo, retiring in 1999.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Darlene. Children; Dawn (Bill) Woodward, Debbie (Fred) Young, Denise (Monti) Cappelletty and Doug Malkuian.  Brother, Samuel (Eleanor) Malkuian.  Sisters, Helen Crego and Margaret (James) Bauknecht. 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael. Sisters, Marilyn, Anna Mae and Mary Jane Malkuian. Daughter Joyce (Malkuian) Kastel.

Visitation will be from 3-9 pm Thursday, August 21, 2014, at the Michael W.  Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2014, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
