JoAnn Bean, 68 of Ottawa Lake, MI, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Flower Hospital.  Born July 12, 1947, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Oscar and Helen (Britton) Jorgenrud.  She was a 1965 graduate of Start High School and then received her Bachelor of Education and Masters of Special Education from the University of Toledo.  JoAnn was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and the former Collingwood United Methodist Church.   She was the widow of Delbert Bean.  JoAnn was employed as a special education teacher for various schools in the Toledo Public Schools system for 35 years, retiring in 2005.  She will be known for being a giving and caring person.

JoAnn is survived by her loving children, Amy (Amber) Gardner and Brittany (Joshua) Franchetti, Step-children, James (Susan) Bean and Pamela (Dan) Mull; sister, Judith Jorgenrud, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Lulu Cemetery, Ida, Michigan.
