Jay F. Sulier, 67 of Lambertville, MI, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 in Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH. Born May 19, 1947 in Toledo, OH. He was the son of Gilbert and Eileen (Poulin) Sulier. A 1965 graduate of Central Catholic High School, in Toledo, he then served his country in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He married Annette M. LaVoy on Sept. 23, 1967 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield, MI. Jay worked as a salesman for 40 years for several car dealerships in the area, including, the former Richard Chevrolet, Hatfield Oldsmobile-Honda and Dave White Chevrolet. He received the Salesman of the Year Award from the Society of Sales Excellence for 25 straight years. He retired in 2007. Jay was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, but most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Annette. Sons, Scott (Honie) Sulier and Jay S. Sulier. Grandchildren, Shane (Kiaya), Kayla and Jade Sulier. Brother, Lawrence (Maryann) Sulier. Sister, Catherine (Joseph) Russo, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Son, Steve Alan and infant sister, Sally Ann Sulier.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 25, 2014, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Fr. Don LaCuesta, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
