Jay Edward Palicki, 54, of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, in his home.  Born November 4, 1959 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Thomas J. and Shirley A. (Printke) Palicki.  He was a graduate of St. Francis High School, class of ’77 and The University of Toledo. Jay was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, MI.  He married Cynthia M. Knaggs on April 24, 1987.  Jay was employed by LMHA for the past 4 years.  Prior, he worked 30 years for St. Charles Mercy Hospital in Oregon, OH.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed watching his daughters participate in athletics. Jay was Bedford Volleyball’s number one fan and dedicated volunteer! He was founder of “Jay’s Place Concessions.”  He also had a passion for golf, basketball, dartball and Ballhawk’s Softball League.    Jay was a perfectionist, his talents and skills were limitless.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Cynthia.  Daughters, Lindsay and Rachel Palicki. Mother, Shirley Palicki.  Sisters, Kim (Thomas) Hunter and Paula (Michael) Harrison.  Brother, Randy (Sharon) Palicki and several treasured nieces and nephews.  May the Good Lord, His Angels and Saints, with his father (Thomas) and nephew, Ryan Hunter welcome Jay to Heaven.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday, January 2, 2014, in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI.  Mass of Christian Burial will be  at 11:00 am, Friday, January 3, 2014, in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
