Helene P (Gospodarek) Mominee 85 of Lambertville, MI (formerly of Erie, MI and Curtice, Ohio) left this world peacefully Saturday February 6,2016 at Aspen Grove assisted Living in Lambertville. Helene was born on February 9,1930 the eldest child of Stephen and Blanche(Nosal) Gospodarek.
A 1948 graduate of Central Catholic High school, Helene married the love of her life Harold Mominee in Toledo Ohio and they built a life together and raised 5 children in Erie, MI. She is survived by her loving children: Georjeanne Taylor (Ted), Sharon Knowlton (Mike) Terrie Ball (Stephen), Daniel Mominee (Lisa) Jennifer Kluczynski (Paul), and step daughter Madonna Boehk. Helene dedicated her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother. Helene was a wonderful seamstress and she also made wedding cakes for friends and family and enjoyed many years of being a volunteer for local elections. Helene believed in family, and had a very strong faith which stayed with her and comforted her throughout her life.
Helene is also survived by her grandchildren: Tifanie Ball, Coreen (Taylor) Marandino, (Marcelo) Megan (Ball) McNally (Derek), Matthew Taylor (Darisa) Kristyn Peters, Stephen Ball, Ashleigh Ball, Chelsea Goodman, Cody Weeks, Dylan Kluczynski, Katrina Mominee, Dalton Kluczynski, Samuel Mominee, Joseph Mominee and Derek Kluczynski .Great Grandchildren: Camden Ball, Ethan Lymond-Peters, Chase McNally, Parker Ball-Thompson, Damien Bell, Logan Gustafson , Ellie McNally, Allie Peters, Titus Goodman and Ozias Goodman, her sister Bernice Wietrzykowski, and many nieces and nephews.
Helene was preceded in death by her beloved Husband Harold in 2007, and her brothers Steve and Edward Gospodarek.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road Temperance, MI. Rosary will be held at 6pm.Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday February 12, 2016, at 11 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 2214 Manhattan, Erie, MI where she will lie in state after 10 am. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio or the National Arthritis Research Foundation. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
