Gerd E. Fisher, 62 of Erie, MI, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Twp., Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Born April 20, 1953, in Berlin, Germany, he was the son of Erwin and Irmgard (Haase) Fisher. He was a Redford High School graduate in Redford, Michigan. He was employed as a Team Leader for GM Powertrain for 39 years, retiring in 2015. Gerd was a member of the U.A.W, Local 14 and Ouga member in Rose City, Michigan. He enjoyed coaching baseball and softball for Mason Consolidated Schools, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle cross country and hunting with several of his friends. Gerd was an avid Detroit Red Wings, Lions and Tigers fan, who loved weekends up north and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Piechorowski, Samantha (Jared) Dobbs and Suzzanne Fisher; Mother, Irmgard Fisher; Sisters, Marion (Bob) Pietila, Lori (Bob) Wood and granddaughter, Desiree Dixon. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 2-7 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
