Gary J. Franz, 75, Temperance, Michigan died unexpectedly Sunday October 11, 2015 at home. Gary Franz was born to Albert J. Franz and Evelyn M. Franz on May 22, 1940 in Maumee, Ohio.

 

He was a graduate of Maumee High School and received his Associates in Engineering from the University of Toledo and his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Lourdes College. He spent 41 years with Dana Corporation and 14 years with Benore Logistics.

 

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Diane (Morrette) Franz; his son, Michael Franz, and wife, Keri, of Lexington, KY; his son James Franz, and wife, Katherine, of Bay City, MI; his grandchildren Taylor, Caleb, Josiah, Elijah, Noah and Isaiah Franz; his sister Darla Randolph, of Las Vegas, NV; his best friend and brother-in law Richard Morrette, of Birmingham, AL.

 

He enjoyed all sports, including fishing and golfing, and was a devoted Ohio State fan. He was the happiest when he was with his family and he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in their sports programs.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Pawlak Funeral Home at 1640 Smith Road, Temperance MI. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16 at 11 am at Lambertville United Methodist Church at 8165 Douglas Road, Lambertville MI with private graveside burial to follow.
