Esther J. Campbell, 85 of Temperance, MI, died Monday, December 16, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Born January 13, 1928 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Bryce and Leona (Moran) Barnes. A 1946 graduate of Whitmer High School, she married Thomas H. Campbell on February 15, 1947 in Toledo, OH. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2008. Esther enjoyed sewing, crafts, genealogy, but most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Campbell and Diane Allman. Brothers, Bryce (Shirley), Gerald and Robert (Connie) Barnes. Grandchildren, Thomas Allman, Wendi Sorensen, and Troy Allman. Great grandchildren, Kayla Allman and Sophia and Thayer Sorensen.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Esther will lie in state after 11:00 am Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2214 Manhattan Blvd., Erie, MI, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Temperance, MI. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
