Emma L. Ewing, 74 of Toledo, OH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 27, 2015, in her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born February 6, 1941, in Cumberland, Maryland, she was the daughter of John D. and Rita A. (Scritchfield) Carter. She married Alfred Lee Ewing on September 21, 1957.  He preceded her in death on April 25, 1981.  She then married Charles Dearl Ewing on March 26, 1983 and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2003.  She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Toledo and New Hope Baptist Church in Weston, OH. Emma loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  She also enjoyed gardening and camping.

She is survived by her loving children, Alfred (Jonna) Ewing, John (Diane) Ewing and Juliann (Robert) Clegg; Step children, Gary (Tammy) Ewing, Greg (Melissa) Ewing and Lisa (Steve) Borst; sisters, Carlon Mummert, Connie (Ray) Wilcox and Ina (Dave) Heath; 20 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Emma was also preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11:00 am with visitation 1 hour prior.  Pastor Andrew Edwards, III, and Pastor Alfred Ewing, Jr., officiating.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Garden, Waterville, OH. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
