Dennis “Denny” Gereb, 71 of Erie, Michigan, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Flower Hospital. Born September 7, 1944, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William and Mary (Yarabinec) Gereb. He was a 1962 graduate of Sharon High School and then received his bachelor’s degree from Youngstown University. A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Denny was employed by Dillards at Fallen Timbers in Maumee, OH. Prior, he worked for Big Lots and K-Mart. Denny was highly skilled at making models and memorabilia of intricate historical and cherished memories, such as scenes or characters from movies, classic cars, airplanes, and compilations of an assortment of other things, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.  His humor, appreciation of the little things, always positive attitude, and love for his family will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer (Bradford) Garrison, Dennis Thomas Gereb, Rebecca (Joshua) Healy, Sara Jensen, Megan (Kevin) Coutcher and Erik Jensen; Sister, Elaine (Edward) Spondike; brother, William (Donna) Gereb; grandchildren, William, Madeline, Colten, Josiah, Axton and Alexander. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Bedford Memorial Cemetary.
