Deborah “Debbie” A. Lajiness, 57 of Temperance, MI, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at St. Anne Mercy Hospital. Born June 5, 1958 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Cornelius and Julia (Navarre) Lajiness. A 1976 graduate from Bedford High School, she was employed in route sales for Tastee Bread. Debbie was a member of Bedford Alliance Church and enjoyed camping, crocheting, crafts, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Debbie’s life mission was to do God’s work.
She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer (Aaron) VanEeckhoutte, Allen and Nicholas Walentowski; brothers, Curtis (Robin) Lajiness, Shaun (Karla) Lajiness and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at Bedford Alliance Church, 8645 Jackman Rd, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am.
