Dale H. Adams, 80, of Temperance, MI, died on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14, 2016. Born August 24, 1935, in Erie, MI, he was the son of Sterling and Elma (Cornprobst) Adams. A 1953 graduate of Bedford High School, he married the Love of his life, Charlene who he met in high school. Dale was a pattern maker for the Chrysler Corporation 18 years, retiring in 1998. He was a Class of ’53 Student Council 4 yrs. Class President 3 yrs, Cubmaster Pack 40 5yrs, PTA President 6 years. A quiet and unassuming person, Dale was an avid outdoors man a trait that he inherited from his Dad. His greatest joy was to see his 3 sons bag their first deer. Another favorite pastime was fishing hiking and walking on Glaciers and numerous game hunts out west. They walked on the Long Matanuska Glacier, saw Daneli at its finest and fished for halibut and salmon. From there they traveled to all 50 states. While traveling they were captivated with The National Park System so they toured and were enthralled with 42 of The National Parks. Visiting Dan when he was stationed on The Hawaiian Islands saw Numerous European countries. They also enjoyed 12 cruises and scuba diving in Cozumel, Mexico and many island vacations. They finally ended their travels and retired to Fort Myers, Florida.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Charlene; children, Daniel (Douglas) Adams-Arman and Linda (David) Elmore; brothers, Donald (Mary Lou), Larry (Judi), Roger (Donna), Paul (Marge) Adams; sister, Joyce (James) Patton; grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Christian) Freshour, Dianna (Jeffrey) O’Neal, Samantha (Trevor) Zielinksi, Nicholas and Chloe Adams-Arman; great-grandchildren; Westin, Kylor and Ayla Freshour, Jeffrey, Jr., Ashley, Irelyn and Case O’Neal and great great grandson, Gunner. Dale was preceded in death by 2 sons, Randal and Gareld Adams; brother, Robert Adams.
Visitation will be from 3-7 pm, Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assocaition. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
