Betty Lou Scribner, 87 of Toledo, OH, died Friday, December 13, 2013 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.  Born August 5, 1926 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter Perry J. and Gertrude (Brenner) Shulters.  She was a 1944 graduate of Waite High School. After which time she traveled to California, where she met the love of her life, Ralph “Skip” Scribner ( A US Marine ) whom she married on April 3, 1948. They settled in Toledo and raised their 5 children.  Ralph preceded her in death on September 14, 1997.  Betty Lou enjoyed extensive traveling with her husband, swimming, playing bunco and spending time with her ever growing family.  She was a former member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Toledo.

She is survived by her loving children, Vicki (Rob) Richardson, Deb (Rick) Stevens, Connie (Rick) Koehler, Tom (Cheryl) Scribner and Laura (Tim) Whorley of Cyprus, TX. 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 great grandsons.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Craig Killinen, officiating.  Memorials may be made to Compelled Church, Bridgepoint Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
