Betty A. Montrie, 90, of Lambertville, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Hickory Ridge of Temperance.  Born January 29, 1924, in Ida, Michigan, she was the daughter of George and Hazel (Charter) Nagel.  She married Leo Montrie on May 17, 1944.  He preceded her in death on January 5, 2004.  Betty was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, where she was active in the Keen-Agers and the Bedford Senior Center.  Betty lived a full life of faith, family, traveling, as well as her many adventures to  casinos around the country.

She is survived by her loving children, Karen (Terry) Kilpatrick, William (Jackie) Montrie, Debra (Larry) Wisniewski, Randall (Nancy) Montrie, Thomas (Jean) Montrie, Daniel Montrie, and James (Molly) Montrie. Daughter-in-law, Karroll (Bob) Foreman, sister, Sally Hughes.  17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, many loved relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Montrie,  sister, Nancy Sizemore and  brothers, Lester, Louis and Lyle Nagel.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday, February 9, 2014,  at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where scripture services will be Sunday at 7:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Monday, February 10, 2014, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ida, MI.
