Basil was a retired carpenter and lived most of his life in Samaria, Michigan, in a home he built himself.  In their young years Basil & Letha loved to bowl and played in a league regularly.  Basil also enjoyed fishing, watching old western movies, and listening to country music.  Basil and Letha moved to Decatur, IL, in June 2007 to be close to their daughter, Barbara.
