Tony Watling, 54 of Lambertville, MI, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 10, 2013 in his home. Born September 26, 1959 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Carl and Ella Luette (Stone) Watling. He married the love of his life, Laurie Smith, August 22, 1981, in Temperance, MI. Tony had a very strong work ethic. A hardworking jack of all trades, he was able to fix anything and everything and took pride in doing so. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything that involved the outdoors with his family. Tony was a ‘PURE MICHIGAN’ sports fan (Lions, Tigers, and Wings, oh my). A devoted husband, a loving father, and a beautiful grandpa; words cannot express how much he will be missed.
Surviving is his loving wife of 32 years, Laurie. Also surviving is his son, Chris (Becky) Watling, daughter, Sarah (Michael) Hammill, grandchildren, Wyatt and Greely Watling, and Elijah Hammill, Mother, Ella Luette Watling, and brother, Tom (Anita) Watling.
The family will be receiving friends at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, located 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman), Temperance, MI, Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 3-7 pm. Memorials may be made out to Disabled Veterans of America.
Tony was preceded in death by his loving father, who are now on an extended fishing trip….
