Al was one of the finest men I ever met. He was father-in-law to my sister, Rose Ann. I've always enjoyed spending time with Al and all of his family members. He was a funny, bright, kind, hard-working guy--a wonderful role model. It was always interesting and a pleasure to chat with Al. He has left a beautiful legacy for his family to cherish and I know he will be missed by many, for a long time to come. God bless him.

I always enjoyed talking to Al. He was very knowledgeable about many different topics. He would take me to his gardens and talk to me about all the beautiful perennials and wildflowers. He also loved feeding the birds and just enjoying nature. He very much loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, and would tell me about the trips they took together. May your wonderful memories of him comfort you during the days to come. He was a blessing.
